Build a Legacy

Your planned gift can build a legacy that will honor your value for continued education and ensure thriving futures for Sisters High School students for years to come. There are a number of flexible options available to help you achieve your charitable goals while also maximizing tax benefits:

Bequest by Will or Trust

A simple way to make a lasting gift is to bequest through your will or trust. A bequest can be made for a specific amount, a percentage of your estate or a residue of your estate. Please specify “Sisters Graduate Resource Organization, P.O. Box 1546, Sisters, OR 97759" in your estate planning documents. We will be pleased to provide your legal or financial counsel with additional information upon request.

Retirement Plans or Investment Retirement Accounts

Retirement plans tend to be heavily taxed so it can benefit your charitable intentions, your community, and your heirs by naming “Sisters Graduate Resource Organization, P.O. Box 1546, Sisters, OR 97759” as a beneficiary on your plan. This transfer of assets to a tax-exempt organization can leave more of your assets not subject to income tax for your loved ones.

Insurance Policies

Naming “Sisters Graduate Resource Organization, P.O. Box 1546, Sisters, OR 97759” as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy would allow you to contribute a much larger gift than you would have been able to make in your lifetime. You can designate Sisters GRO as the absolute beneficiary or deduct a value of the policy as a charitable gift.
